Kilcoy Pastoral Company is currently undergoing a global expansion and is transitioning to Kilcoy Global Foods (KGF).

KGF is a large beef processing plant and our production site is located in Kilcoy. Established 66 years ago, we are now one of the largest beef processors in Australia and currently employing over 1500 staff.  KGF is proud to acknowledge our employees are the key to our success.

Kilcoy Global Foods (KGF) currently has a permanent opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our growing team in a fast-paced, 24/7 beef production environment. The work environments will vary from agricultural, production, refrigeration, coal fired boiler and rendering.

This is a full-time shift position, working on a Lifestyle roster with day shift or night shift opportunities available.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Be engaged in preventative maintenance, break down maintenance,
  • Assist in capital and continuous improvement projects. 
  • Strong focus on safety, health and environment
  • Trouble shooting and urgent repairs of all typical equipment
  • Coordinate and collaborate with contractors

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • All applicants must hold a current Queensland recognised trade certificate or licence
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment highly desirable
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Reliable and motivated self-starter
  • Good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for fault finding
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills and communication skills
  • Promote and drive a positive customer service attitude


  • 5 on, 5 off, then 4 on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off then repeat. Working 2 weekends on per month and having 2 weekends off per month.
  • Day shift span of hours 4am – 4pm OR
  • Night shift span of hours 3pm – 3am
