HR Officer - Generalist

Our HR team is the people hub of our organisation and we are looking for a passionate, responsive and flexible HR Officer to join our established team. This fast-paced challenging role is pivotal in providing timely and accurate information to all stakeholders

The successful applicant will deliver HR support to the business by effectively carrying out a wide range of Generalist HR functions and conduct activities which support business decisions that directly impact on business outcomes. You will need to be responsive and timely in the support you provide across the organisation and you will be required to draw on technical understanding and / or operational experience in providing HR advice, making recommendations and interpretation of a variety of conditions of employment including enterprise agreements and awards.

  • HR compliance documentation and record keeping
  • Conduct initial investigation processes and complaints handling
  • Contribution to policy review and development
  • Employment relations queries, and assistance
  • Participate in Performance management discussions
  • Disciplinary procedures and recording of same
  • Provide support, guidance and direction to Employees seeking support
  • Provide administrative support and liaison for IR matters as required
  • Participate in on-boarding activities including delivery of HR Policy Handbook
  • Based at Kilcoy with occasional requirement to work from the Birtinya Corporate Office



  • 2-3 years' experience in a Recruitment/Human Resources role
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources would be highly regarded
  • Understand the importance of ethical and confidential behaviour
  • Proficient use in Microsoft application, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organisation and time management skills
  • Internal customer focused approach with a friendly and helpful attitude
  • Co-ordinate and manage workload effectively to meet competing priorities
  • Experience across a culturally diverse workforce
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible and learn quickly
